These terms govern your use of QuantAI — written to be readable, not to obscure what matters.

The short version

  • →QuantAI is a statistical analysis tool for academic researchers. Use it for legitimate research.
  • →You own your data. We only process it to run your analyses and generate results.
  • →Free accounts get limited analyses. Scholar Pass and Pro plans unlock more.
  • →Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
  • →AI-generated narratives are aids — always verify results with your advisor or statistician.
  • →We can suspend accounts that abuse the platform, run automated queries, or violate academic integrity.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using QuantAI (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms with reasonable notice.

QuantAI is operated by Symbiotic Scholar LLC as part of the Symbiotic Scholar suite of academic AI tools. Your QuantAI account may be accessed via Scholar Pass SSO.

2. Who can use QuantAI

QuantAI is intended for academic researchers, graduate students, faculty, and institutional research teams. You must be 18 or older to create an account. By using the Service you represent that:

  • You are using QuantAI for legitimate research or educational purposes
  • You have the right to upload any data files you submit
  • Your use complies with any applicable IRB protocol or institutional data governance requirements

3. Plans and billing

Free tier: Free accounts include a limited number of analyses per month. Feature access may be restricted.

Scholar Pass: If you access QuantAI through a Symbiotic Scholar Scholar Pass, your billing is managed at symbioticscholar.com. Cancelling your Scholar Pass will suspend Scholar-tier access to QuantAI.

Pro plans: Direct QuantAI subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew and may be cancelled at any time; access continues through the end of the current period. We do not offer prorated refunds except where required by law.

Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of price changes, effective at your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use QuantAI to:

  • Upload data you do not have the right to use or that violates participant confidentiality
  • Run automated, bulk, or scripted queries against the platform
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the statistical engine, AI models, or platform infrastructure
  • Share account credentials or resell access to your account
  • Misrepresent AI-generated statistical narratives as independently authored human work without disclosure
  • Circumvent rate limits or access controls

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

QuantAI uses Claude (Anthropic) to generate APA Results-section narratives from your computed statistics. These narratives are research aids, not authoritative statistical interpretations.

Important

Always verify AI-generated statistical language with your dissertation committee, faculty advisor, or a qualified statistician before including it in any submitted work. QuantAI does not guarantee that its outputs meet your institution’s formatting, methodological, or reporting requirements.

Statistical computations are performed by scipy.stats and statsmodels. While we test for accuracy, results should be cross-validated against established statistical software (SPSS, R, Stata) for high-stakes research.

6. Your data

You retain full ownership of all data files you upload. By uploading, you grant QuantAI a limited license to process the data solely to deliver your requested analysis. We do not use your data to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we store and how long.

7. Intellectual property

QuantAI, its analysis engine, prompt design, UI, and branding are owned by Symbiotic Scholar LLC. You may use analysis outputs for your own academic work. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense QuantAI outputs or the platform itself.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Symbiotic Scholar LLC is not liable for:

  • Statistical errors or inaccurate AI narratives
  • Academic outcomes, IRB decisions, or publication results
  • Data loss due to technical failures
  • Service interruptions

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 90 days prior to the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or abuse of the platform. Upon termination your access ends immediately and no partial-period refund is issued.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Connecticut.
